Sitel partners with companies from a variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, retail, and financial services. Recruiters will try to connect you with projects that match your skills and experiences, but they may assign you to any account in need of assistance at the time you apply.
As a home-based agent, you will provide one or more of the following services:
- Respond to billing or account inquiries
- Answer questions regarding products or services
- Accept product or service orders
- Schedule services
- Provide real-time technical assistance
Once you’re assigned to a customer account, you will receive full online training so that you understand the client’s needs and how to respond to customer inquiries.
All Sitel work at home agents are assigned to a coach who will be available to answer questions through online chat, telephone, and email.
All training classes are paid by the hour.

What Does Sitel Pay Home-Based Employees?
Sitel maintains that employees are paid different hourly rates depending on the assigned account. Some accounts may require specialized knowledge or advanced skills, and may pay more than others.
Payments are issued via direct deposit bi-weekly, or you may have your pay added to a company-issued debit card.
After 90 days of employment, full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, 401K, and other benefits and perks.
What Schedules are Offered?
Your hours as a Sitel work at home employee will depend on the account that you’re assigned to and business need.
If you are hired, you will receive an email listing the schedules currently available for your assignment. Sitel offers both full-time and part-time schedules.
Technical Requirements
According to the job description, you will need
- A Desktop or Laptop running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10
- Wired peripherals only (Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, or Headset are NOT allowed)
- A separate 19” Monitor with 1280×1024 minimum resolution (this does not include monitors associated with an All-In-One or AIO unit)

Sitel doesn’t accept work from home employees from all states. You can review a complete list of acceptable states here.
They may ask you to complete a drug screen, and they will run a background check prior to approving your application. Sitel covers all expenses for these tests.
Sitel also requires that you maintain a work environment with no background noise or distractions.
